Wingfield Academy is proud to celebrate Headteacher Jordon O’Neill, who has been featured in the Rotherham Advertiser for her remarkable journey from student to school leader.
Having joined Wingfield as a pupil in 2002, Jordon experienced first-hand the school’s transformation and development. After leaving school, she returned to begin her career in education, progressing from teaching assistant and mathematics teacher to Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and ultimately Headteacher.
Reflecting on her journey, Jordon spoke of her pride in leading the school that played such an important role in her own life and the strong sense of community that has always been at the heart of Wingfield Academy.
Her story is one of dedication, ambition and commitment to the community she serves. Under her leadership, Wingfield Academy continues to go from strength to strength, with the school recently receiving a highly positive Ofsted report that recognised the exceptional culture, high expectations and achievements of students and staff alike.
Jordon remains passionate about ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed, guided by the values of respect, responsibility and resilience that underpin life at Wingfield Academy.
We are incredibly proud of Jordon and all she has achieved, and we are delighted to see her leadership and commitment recognised by the Rotherham Advertiser.
