Wingfield Academy is celebrating its strongest GCSE outcomes on record, with students achieving the highest levels of attainment in the school’s history and setting new benchmarks across a range of measures.
The academy achieved an Attainment 8 score of 50.1, the highest recorded over the past three years and the strongest performance in the school’s history.
Performance in English and Mathematics also reached record levels, with 52.1% of students achieving Grade 5 or above in both subjects, surpassing outcomes from both 2024 and 2025. Meanwhile, 20.3% of students achieved Grade 7 or above in English and Maths, more than double the figure recorded in 2024.
English results were particularly impressive, with 68% of students achieving Grade 5 or above, representing a 14 percentage point improvement. Mathematics also showed strong gains across all measures, especially at the highest grades, reflecting the academy’s sustained focus on driving excellence.
Wingfield’s open basket performance remained a significant strength and contributed heavily to the academy’s overall attainment success.
